Mel Basta is a writer and editor with a decade of experience writing copy and content. She believes complex information should be accessible and digestible – much like a delicious sandwich.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and International Studies) and a Diploma in Languages (German) from the University of Melbourne.

When she was 8, Mel created a special edition of Woman’s Weekly for her mum. It featured an ad for Pine O Cleen that was so clean it grew wings and flew up to the heavens.

When she was 13, she saw her by-line in print for the first time, because she had diagnosed a nation of Girlfriend readers with ‘The Jealousy Bug’.

Mel is now fast approaching her thirties but she’s still reading and writing as much as ever.
