Ellie Garran

Ellie has spent more than a decade writing and editing for just about every sector you can think of, including health, science and government. As Digital Writer – Health, Ellie spends their days deep in the weeds of Australia’s health system, and is passionate about getting to the bottom of its complexities and quirks in order to explain it clearly and simply.

Ellie has a Bachelor of Arts from La Trobe University, a Graduate Diploma in Publishing and Communications from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Fine Art in Poetry from the University of Minnesota.

They love knitting and sewing, especially with recycled materials, so you’ll probably find them in the iSelect office wearing a dress made out of a sheet.
