Who is Zurich?

We’re talking about Zurich Australia and New Zealand. But they wouldn’t exist without Zurich Insurance Group.

Zurich Insurance Group is over 150 years old and operates in over 200 countries and territories. Australia is just one of that 200-strong collective, with Zurich Australia and New Zealand dating all the way back to 1920.

Why consider Zurich for your life insurance?

Access thousands of great membership rewards with Loving Life

Life is for living, and, thankfully, there are over 7,900 lifestyle and entertainment offers available with Zurich’s Loving Life program to enjoy. These offers include two-for-one deals and up to 20% off everyday necessities, along with plenty of treats to make life sweet.

Feel confident in fair and transparent dealings

When you entrust your life insurance to Zurich, it matters to them that you receive excellent service every time. This includes being honest and clear with you. In fact, it’s the first point of the Life Insurance Code of Practice they follow.1To learn more about the Council of Australian Life Insurers’ Code of Practice, see Council of Australian Life Insurers – Life Insurance Code of Practice

What types of policies do they offer?

Everyone’s life and circumstances are different. That’s why Zurich offers a broad range of life insurance policies, which you can further tailor.

This includes:

  • death benefit (also known as life cover): a lump sum paid if you become terminally ill and have fewer than 12 months to live, or if you pass away
  • income protection: a regular payment if you can’t work for a time because of an accident or illness
  • total and permanent disability (TPD) insurance: a lump sum paid if you are totally and permanently disabled
  • trauma cover: a lump sum paid if you suffer a defined trauma condition.

Regardless of the cover you choose, the idea is to help relieve yourself or your family of financial stress in a time of need.

Zurich offers more than financial support, though. For instance, while income protection can help you stay financially stable while you’re unable to work, Zurich also offers support to get you back to work sooner, like rehabilitation and career coaching.
