Helpful tip

It’s not just floods and bushfires that can leave people vulnerable. Thankfully, many life insurers, like Acenda, have processes in place to help customers out when times are tough. This can include offering premium relief, prioritising claims for those facing financial hardship, and communicating through alternative channels for those affected by family and domestic violence. These measures can help you keep your cover while you get back on your feet.

Frequently asked questions
Are Acenda life insurance policies available anywhere in Australia?
Given its long-standing Australian heritage, it’s no surprise that Acenda’s life insurance policies are available throughout Australia. Its customer service centres are right here in Australia too.
How do I make a claim on my Acenda life insurance?
When you need to make a claim, you might not always be in a good headspace to do paperwork solo. That’s why the Acenda process is to first reach out to their team over the phone. They can then walk you through lodging your claim over the phone or how to fill out claim forms. You can send in these forms, and any additional information or supporting evidence, via email or the post.
From there, you’ll have a claims consultant assigned to you, and they’ll be in touch as your claim progresses and when a decision is made.
How can I pay my bill?
When it comes time to pay your Acenda premiums – by the way, these need to be paid in advance – you have a few options to choose from:
- direct debit
- credit card
- BPAY.
You can use the online portal to make a payment, as well as update your relevant payment details.
