We are excited to announce that iSelect has expanded its customer service model by opening kiosks in shopping centres in Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Brisbane.
iSelect has traditionally provided its insurance, utilities and personal finance comparison and broking services to customers via its website and through telephone consultants.
The decision to open physical outlets follows the overseas ‘clicks to bricks’ trend where leading digital players like YouTube and Amazon are supplementing their online presence with kiosks and pop-ups.
iSelect’s Managing Director & CEO Scott Wilson said, “Our new kiosks are a key component of our strategy to become Australia’s Life Admin Store. We want to become a ‘one-stop-shop’ for Australians to take care of all their insurance, utilities and personal finance needs.”
“We understand that serving customers in the way they want to be served is absolutely crucial and our new kiosks are designed to appeal to customers who are more comfortable to interact in person.”
Mr Wilson said the kiosks will provide an efficient and effective way to attract new customers, while lowering digital acquisition costs.
“Our move into shopping centres will not only create a more user-friendly environment for potential customers but creates a new distribution channel for our products and services. The iSelect kiosks will enable customers take care of the boring aspects of life, like reviewing their health insurance or energy bills, all while on a shopping trip.”
Customers who visit the iSelect kiosks will be able to complete comparisons and purchase products online via the kiosk iPads. Shoppers looking for more assistance will be able to speak to one of iSelect’s expert advisers over the phone for a personally tailored comparison.
Customers will also have the option to schedule an appointment to be called by an iSelect consultant at a more convenient time, either from the kiosk or in the comfort of their own home.
The kiosks feature a high-tech design with meeting areas where customers can speak confidentially with staff, while also view and order Nest’s recently launched range of connected home devices on display.
Mr Wilson said the company planned to expand the service available at the kiosks over time.
“Over the next few months, we hope to give shoppers the ability to drop off their bills to us and then we’ll conduct a comparison for them while they are off doing their shopping, hopefully saving them both time and money!”
Mr Wilson said the company hoped to expand from the initial four kiosks and open more across Australia over the coming years.
