Dodo NBN
With so many NBN broadband plans on offer, deciding what’s right for you can be time consuming. At iSelect, we work hard to make it easier for you to find an NBN plan that suits your lifestyle. If you’re looking for a fast, stable connection, Dodo offers a range of flexible and great value NBN plans.
In this article we’ll dive a little deeper into the NBN specific products they offer, as well as who they may be suited for.
Dodo NBN plans
The first thing to consider when selecting a Dodo NBN plan is how much time you spend online1.
Whether you just use your tablet to read the news, or you love to binge watch your favourite boxset TV series, Dodo NBN plans have something for you1. If you mainly use the internet for catching up on social media and other light tasks, the Standard Dodo NBN plan offers a plentiful 101GB of data for $50 a month.
However, if you have a household full of internet-hungry people, you may want to look at Dodo’s Unlimited plan. With this plan, everyone in the house can surf online without making the next person’s Youtube videos buffer.
With Dodo Unlimited NBN you can stream as much music and video as you like, or game your heart out from just $60 a month. Dodo knows everyone has different needs, so whether you want the flexibility of a short-term deal, or are planning to stay put for a while, they offer a monthly, as well as 12-month or 24-month contracts to suit you.
There’s no early termination charge for the monthly plan, but it does include set up costs of $2082. If you plan to be in your home for some time, then the 24-month contract might be a more suited deal for you, as there’s no set up charge or modem rental cost.
Dodo NBN bundles
When you choose Dodo NBN you’ll get free Voice-Over-IP, which allows you to make phone calls over your broadband connection for no extra cost. If you prefer, a standard landline is included too.
You can also add call packages such as unlimited local, national and mobile calls for just $10 per month3. To keep up with friends and family abroad, you can pick up 2,000 minutes to fixed lines in 25 countries for just $15 per month, or if you want to include both fixed line and mobile calls, you can add this for just an extra $20 per month.
If you’d like to add television to the bundle, you can add Fetch TV on any Dodo Unlimited plan for just $15 a month, giving you a massive selection of TV and films to enjoy.
Dodo NBN speeds
Whatever Dodo NBN deal you choose, you’ll find good connection speeds4, though the exact speed you get will often depend on what time of the day you go online, as well as the number of internet-connected devices you use at once.
The Standard $60 Dodo NBN package averages 11Mbps in the evening, which should be enough if there’s one or two of you using the connection, but to connect more people, a higher speed will help.
Fortunately, with Dodo NBN plans, you always have the freedom to change to a connection speed that suits you. So when you need more than just the standard speed, you can get a Turbo boost for just $5 per month, which takes you up to 24Mbps.
Dodo NBN also offer two Supercharged connections if you’re a real speed freak, or have a number of online devices in your home. Their Supercharged NBN50 speed takes you all the way up to 47Mbps typical evening speed for an additional $15 a month, or if you want the ultimate performance, $35 extra gets you a whopping 83Mbps typical evening speed.
