What are AIA’s values?

AIA offer a range of Health insurance products to suit any individual or family size. Whether you’re looking for just hospital cover, or combined hospital and extras, AIA may have a policy for you.

Their health insurance products can cater for the following:

  • Singles
  • Couples
  • Families
  • Single parents

AIA also offer a range of both hospital cover and extras cover policies to suit their customers needs and lifestyle:

  • Hospital cover: AIA has a variety of policy offerings to suit your needs and budget including “plus” plans for that additional coverage without having to fully upgrade to the next policy tier. What makes AIA different is a unique feature whereby, if you engage in the Vitality program, AIA may refund your hospital excess on some policies. With some policies you may be able to choose between two excess options.
  • Extras cover: AIA offer extras as part of a combined hospital and extras policy. Additionally, if you engage in Vitality you may be eligible for higher benefits on some extras claims and even discounts on your policy.

What is AIA Vitality?

AIA Vitality is a benefit of being an AIA health insurance member.

Firstly, AIA Vitality health and wellbeing program is backed by science, designed to support AIA members to make healthier lifestyle choices. This includes encouragement to complete relevant health checks, exercise, and eat well. For achieving this, AIA offers some great incentives, such as vouchers to spend at some popular retail outlets each member year.

How does AIA Vitality work?

AIA Vitality works as a rewards program for healthy lifestyle choices. For example, lifestyle choices such as exercising, eating well, and going for a health check can translate into benefits as part of the program. These benefits could include:

  • E-Gift cards for popular retail outlets
  • Cash back on eligible domestic and international flights
  • Discounted movie vouchers
  • Discounted gym memberships

With the AIA Vitality program, the points you earn contribute to your overall AIA Vitality Status (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum). Simply put, the higher your status, the greater the rewards you could unlock.

What are some of AIA’s partner and member benefits?

AIA has partnered with a handful of other companies to provide additional value, and potentially, savings, to fund members.

Some of these include:

  • Dental benefits: AIA have partnered with Smile.com.au to make dental more accessible and affordable for members.
  • Optical benefits: AIA members are entitled to benefits in the form of discounts from Specsavers.
  • Personal Medical Case Management: AIA has partnered with Medix, a global healthcare management company, which provides support for those dealing with a serious medical condition.

How do I make a claim with AIA?

AIA understands that the period in which you’re making a claim could be a difficult time for yourself or your loved ones. That’s why they try to make the process and easy and transparent as possible.

  • Claiming on hospital cover: The hospital will generally bill AIA directly following a hospital admission, and AIA will pay up to the limits of the policy on your behalf. If an excess payment is required, you may need to organise it prior to your hospital admission.
  • Claiming on extras cover: There are several ways you can do this with AIA. This includes: Using your HICAPS card at a registered provider, online via your AIA member portal, via email, and via post.
