Who are Momentum Energy?

Since Momentum Energy began in 2002, Momentum Energy has been focused on making a positive change to the energy industry, doing their part to simplify billing practices and remove confusing discounts so common to other energy companies.

In September 2009, Hydro Tasmania, took full ownership of Momentum, which strengthened their conviction to improve the energy industry and make their services simpler and more intuitive.

Their company motto is “Less hassle. More hustle,” which perfectly captures their motivation to keep on improving and hold themselves to a higher standard.

As Momentum Energy are 100% owned by Hydro Tasmania – Australia’s largest renewable energy generator, they’re 100% in support of renewable energy, which is great for Aussies and for the environment.

What is Momentum Energy’s renewable promise?

If you sign up to their SmilePower Flexi or Bill Boss plan, they make sure that for any electricity you use, an equivalent amount of clean, renewable energy is added to the grid. What is GreenPower? It’s a government initiative to make 100% renewable energy available for Aussie homes and businesses via energy retailers (like Momentum).
