Creating an iSelect account
How do I create an iSelect account?
Go to account.iselect.com.au/create-account/register-email/ to create your iSelect account.
I tried creating an account, but I didn’t receive a verification email.
If you haven’t received an email from us within a few minutes, a few things may have happened:
- The email is in your spam folder.
- The email address you entered had a mistake or a typo.
- You’ve accidentally given us a different email address. (A work or personal email instead of the email address you wanted to submit.)
- We can’t deliver the email to this address because of corporate firewalls or filtering
Please go to account.iselect.com.au/create-account/register-email/ and try again.
Accessing your iSelect Account
How do I login to my iSelect Account?
Login with the email address and password you used to create an account at account.iselect.com.au/login/
How do I reset my password?
Go to account.iselect.com.au/forgot-password/ and enter the email address you used to create your account, to receive a reset password email. If you have 2-step verification turned on, you will also need to receive an SMS on the mobile number you provided.
How do I find out which email address I used?
Go to account.iselect.com.au/forgot-password/ and enter the email you think you may have used when you last successfully logged in. If it’s a valid email you’ll receive an email to reset your password.
How do I login when I’ve lost or can’t access my mobile and have 2-step verification enabled?
If you’ve set up 2-step verification, but are unable to receive messages on that number, for security purposes, you’ll need to call us on 13 19 20 so we can ensure you are the owner of that iSelect account. We’ll then remove the existing number so you can login and set up a new mobile number, should you choose to.
I haven’t received a text message when I’ve tried to login.
Text message delivery can be delayed if you live in a densely populated area or if your carrier’s infrastructure isn’t well maintained. If you’ve waited more than a few minutes and still haven’t received our text message, please try again or contact us.
I’ve created an account when comparing health insurance, can I still login to that account?
For security reasons you’ll no longer be able to access the login on our health insurance website. Please give us a call on 13 19 20 and we can help you out with your health insurance needs
I’ve been locked out of my account.
To protect your personal information, you will be locked out of you account after 3 failed login attempts. You will need to wait 15 before trying to login again.

How do I change my personal details?
Login in to your account at account.iselect.com.au/login/, click to your “Account Settings” and edit your personal details such as your name or your date of birth. Please ensure you save your changes.
How do I change my password?
Login in to your account at account.iselect.com.au/login/, click on your “Account Settings” and edit your password.
You will be asked for your current password to ensure it’s you making this change.
If you have 2-step verification turned on, you will also need to receive an SMS on the mobile number you provided.
How do I change my Email address?
Login in to your account at account.iselect.com.au/login/, click on “Account Settings” and edit your existing email address.. You will be asked for your current password to ensure it’s you making this change.
If you have 2-step verification turned on, you will also need to receive an SMS on the mobile number you provided.
You’ll then be sent a verification email to your new email address.
How do I change my verified mobile number?
Login in to your account at account.iselect.com.au/login/, click on “Account Settings” and replace the existing mobile with a your new mobile number.
You will be asked for your current password to ensure it’s you making this change.
If you have mobile 2-step authentication turned on, you will also need to receive an SMS on the mobile number you set-up at first.
You’ll then be sent an SMS to your new phone number.
How do I turn on 2-step verification?
Login in to your account at account.iselect.com.au/login/, click on to “Account Settings” and remove your phone number.
You will be asked for your current password to ensure it’s you.
You’ll be sent an SMS to your verified phone number to ensure it’s you making this change.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account, please call us on 13 19 20.
More about your iSelect account
I can’t see my quote(s) within my account.
With your iSelect account (beta), you can access all your electricity and gas quote(s) that have been sent to you by one of our consultants since you created your account.
You will soon be able to access all the quotes you have received from iSelect.
If you’ve received an Electricity & Gas quote in the last few minutes and you can’t see it in your account, please allow a few minutes for them to show up.
I can’t see my purchase(s) within my account.
Through your iSelect account (beta), you can access all your electricity and gas purchase(s) that you have made through iSelect since you created your account.
You soon be able to access all the purchases you have made through iSelect.

Why do I need to verify my email address?
Verifying your email address helps us protect your personal information.
By confirming your email address we know you’re reachable by this email and can inform you when changes have been made to your account.
Why do I need to verify my phone number?
To help protect your personal information, we ask you to prove you’re not a robot before you can sign in to your account by sending a one-time password to a verified phone number. This extra layer of verification by phone helps keep spammers from abusing our systems.
You can turn this extra layer of security on or off by going into your security preferences in your account settings.
How secure is my data?
Security is a high priority at iSelect. We are using industry accepted levels of security including:
- All credentials are encrypted.
- Secure Socket Layer Technology (SSL) has been implemented to prevent compromised sessions.
- Password restrictions apply (length, characters, etc.).
