Our job is to help you understand your private health insurance needs and then to recommend a product from our list of approved products - we call this our Approved Product List (APL) - that meet these needs and your budget. We assess your needs based on the requirements you tell us.
In making an appropriate recommendation we consider every product that is on our APL at the time. Our APL does change from time to time. Our APL is much like shelves in a supermarket they contain all the products that are available at that store at the time. Not all the products available from a fund will be sold through us and therefore may not be on our APL. Also, much like a store, we sometimes sell out of a product or, overtime, it is no longer viable for either a fund or us to offer that product through our service. The vast majority of the products of our participating funds are available through us. However, occasionally, we may not have all products from all of our funds and, in almost all cases, this is at the direction of our participating health funds.
